Introduce the first robot speaking 21 languages in Vietnam

This morning (July 11, 2017) at SaigonTech Building, IoT Technology Investment, and Development Company introduced to Viet Nam market their smart robot named NAO. The launching ceremony was attended by Mr. Takashi Morimoto (Softbank Telecom Vietnam), Mr. Nguyen Tan Huynh (Director of IoT Technology Investment and Development company), Mr. Dinh Thanh Son (representative of SaigonTech) Mr. Ha Thanh Liem (Director of ISC Quang Trung Training Center) and IT lecturers and students of many universities in Southern of Vietnam.

Throughout the ceremony, the audiences were extremely excited because they can see cute NAO perform his functions such as singing, dancing, standing after falling by himself. The NAO is developed by the Japanese company Softbank and is sold worldwide with so many abilities. He can move flexibly with 25 engines inside, speak 21 languages, interact with humans in English and learn new skills. However, this robot is more intelligent than what we see!

NAO can be used for many different purples in life thanks to the pre-installed NAOqi – an open source operating system. With NAOqi platform, Softbank programed the basic functions, customers can write and embed other programs into the robot to “teach” NAO new skills. He is able to work as a hotel reception, restaurant cashier, foreign language teacher or even security manager for the owner's house. This is an extremely interesting product not only for consumers but also for programmers. It provides an opportunity for programmers, especially young students or programmers, to develop intellectual products based on available hardware. It is known that the NAO will be sold officially for $ 10,000 in Vietnam.
IoT Technology Investment and Development Company and Softbank hope to develop a strong NAO user community in Vietnam so that they could organize the robot competition for Vietnamese NAOqi developers. Further in future, the Vietnamese team would participate in the Softbank International Robot competition. How do you think about that?
